MIDSEA Summer School 2026

8-12 June, 2026

SIRCraft was used in the “An Introduction to Infectious Disease Modelling Concepts and Basic Mathematical Frameworks” track of the MIDSEA Summer School 2026, held at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) from 8–12 June 2026. The five-day international summer school brought together researchers from Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, and Public Health across Southeast Asia, supporting regional capacity building in infectious disease modelling. The track was attended by 15 participants from seven countries, including Malaysia (7), Vietnam (2), Cambodia (2), the Philippines (1), Myanmar (1), Thailand (1), and Brunei (1).


AgriConnect Summer School 2026

17-28 August, 2026

A tutorial on use of SIRcraft for disease modeling was held at the AgriConnect summer school at the University of Bremen, which ran from August 17 -28, 2026. AgriConnect: Global ICT Innovation for Sustainable Agriculture is a 4-year project running from 2026 - 2029, supported by the DAAD SDG Partnerships program. The SIRcraft tutorial was attended by over 50 participants from ten countries. Participants at the interdisciplinary summer school included students, academics, and researchers in agriculture, infectious disease, and computer science.
